Paula Gamboa
CEO of FC Design Center | Interior Designer & Flooring Expert
Paula Gamboa is the CEO and founder of FC Design Center, a premier interior design showroom and construction resource based in Gulfport, Mississippi. FC Design Center specializes in flooring, lighting, furniture, hardware, window treatments, and full interior design services, providing affordable luxury for residential and commercial clients across the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
Rooted in the flooring industry since childhood, Paula grew up working alongside her parents at Carpet Mill Connection, where she learned the foundations of design, installation, and customer care. In 2014, she launched her first business, FloorCo Flooring & Design Center, which she rebranded and expanded in 2025 into the state-of-the-art FC Design Center—now a go-to destination for builders, homeowners, and designers.
Paula attended the University of Southern Mississippi, where she served in the Student Government Association before stepping away to pursue her business full time. She has deep ties to the local community, having served six years in the Junior Auxiliary of Gulfport, and was honored in 2023 as one of the 100 Successful Women to Know” by Gulf Coast Woman Magazine. She also proudly served as Queen of Les Cavaliers, one of the Gulf Coast’s celebrated Mardi Gras krewes, further reflecting her leadership and connection to regional traditions.
Today, Paula leads FC Design Center with a passion for elevated design, client-centered service, and community impact. Gustavo Gamboa
Operations Partner | Installation & Construction Expert
Gustavo Gamboa is the Operations Partner at FC Design Center in Gulfport, Mississippi, where he oversees all aspects of project execution, product installation, and jobsite operations. With a strong background in construction management, flooring systems, and residential building, Gustavo ensures that every project at FC Design Center is delivered with precision, professionalism, and superior craftsmanship.
Gustavo has worked alongside his wife, CEO Paula Gamboa, since the early days of their family’s business, Carpet Mill Connection, gaining hands-on experience in flooring installation, job coordination, and customer service. His natural leadership and technical expertise made him a key force behind the operational expansion of FC Design Center, especially as the company grew to offer a full suite of interior design, flooring, and construction support services
As a licensed general contractor and residential builder, Gustavo brings industry credibility and deep construction knowledge to every job, making him an invaluable resource for both residential homeowners and commercial developers and contractors seeking a seamless installation experience. He works closely with the design and sales teams to bridge the gap between inspiration and execution, ensuring that every detail is installed to the highest standard.
Outside of his professional work, Gustavo is known for his passion for baseball, a sport that reflects his values of teamwork, strategy, and consistency—qualities he brings to every project he manages.
